After seeing the success of the movie the Hunger Games and one of Games2U franchisee's gloating about Archery Tag, I had to take a look into the concept and the fun behind it.
We already offer an array of mobile on-demand events, and I had to see how that fit into our product mix, mobility, and ROI. So far, so amazing.
Our debut of the event was the Greater Hartford Walk for Autism. There were 9000 people attending on June 3rd. We had a LOT of activities going on being the entertainment sponsor, and Archery Tag had one of the highest turnouts. We had parents just standing midfield to let their kids plunk them, and when we finally got the crowd organized, the team games were amazing. 5x5 seems the best to me so far, one shot one kill but as we gain more experience, we will evolve the games we do, just as we do with our other events. Over 400 people played that day.
Our second was at South Middle School in Westfield MA for their end of school picnic. Again, it was a hit! Kids, and teachers loved it. Was constantly busy for the three hours we were there with over 300 students, teachers and PTO staff.
The support has been second to none, from brochures, online videos, signage, banners ads (I got to get on that one myself but its my fault!), and replacements of gear, as we had some defective gear and it was replaced instantly. John and his team run a first class operation, and Games2U New England is looking to partner with them for a very long time.
