The 11th Annual Deerassic Classic Give-Away and Outdoor Expo was held Aug. 1-3, 2013 at the Deerassic Park Education Center, 14250 Cadiz Road, Cambridge, Ohio. Musical guests included Joe Zelek & the Rust Belt Kings, C.J. Garton, Ruff Creek, and .38 Special. Plus, there was a fireworks display on the final night. Archery Tag® and S.A.F.E. Archery® were there through it all and both were a hit with attendees! We have a great story from this event, so check out the video, images, and then read on.
The shooters pictured below are from India (not Indiana, but India) and have never picked up a bow prior to this event. They never thought about picking up a bow until they saw Archery Tag® and wanted to give the combat archery a try. John Jackson, company Founder/CEO, recommended that they practice shooting at the Hoverball® Archery Target. They took a few shots and then stepped on to the Archery Tag® field of play.
After only a few minutes, they were shooting as if they had been years! They had a lot of fun. This is why John started DeerSpace.com and introduced the "non-lethal" arrow—he wants to share his passion for archery with the world and change the way that people view the sport. While the staff had a lot of fun at this event, this one family is what John will remember forever. He still talks about that day!
