February 23, 2017
The 27th Annual Canadian Mining Games were held the 23rd to 26th of February 2017 at the University of Toronto. The Canadian Mining Games is a strong part of Canadian mining history. Each year, the mining games provides an opportunity for students from across Canada from 10 Universities to meet and test not only their mining knowledge, but also their learning and adaptive capabilities. The three-day event also provides multiple opportunities to meet industry professionals; as well as network at the career fair and meet other mining engineering students (many of whom will be their future colleagues in the close-knit Canadian mining sector). Congratulations to the 2017 Mining Game Champions of Dalhousie University!
The "mystery event" was an Archery Tag® extreme archery competition and the students competed in extremely fast and physical matches. We probably enjoyed this event more than the students and hope to be invited back.
