We brought Archery Tag® to the Deerassic Classic on the 5th and 6th of August. At this year's event, Joella Bates and Bobby Hart hosted a free youth archery event. Bates is a full-time hunting professional and five-time world archery champion. She has conducted seminars all over the United States, sharing some of her shooting and hunting secrets. In addition, she is passionate about the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). At the Deerassic Classic, she offered an archery demonstration and motivational talk directed towards area youth and their parents. Joining her was 1,000-yard International Rifle Champion Bobby Hart.
In addition, there was a corn hole tournament; plenty of great food and beverages; the usual array of prices including the 50/50 drawing; fireworks; and musical guests Backbone, The Dirt Drifters, Cy Yaegel, the LoCash Cowboys, Josh Thompson, and Ruff Creek. Only at this event would we create and award the Crazy Iron Man Trophy. You have to see this to believe it (the guy did not even flinch)!
