Greetings from Pastor Andy, Thanks for checking out Forks Assembly of God, I hope you’ll will consider being our guests on Sunday at 11:00 am. Attending a new church for the first time is a bit nerve racking, no matter if we’ve regularly attended somewhere before or perhaps never attended church at all. That anxiousness we feel never seems to go away until we find ourselves and our family truly connected. Connecting to a church family goes hand-in-hand with connecting to God. John wrote in his first letter that “if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” Following Christ has always been imbedded in relationship, so there is no better way of learning to love God than connecting to His family, moving together towards Christ’s redemptive plan for our lives. Connecting to a church is also about equipping people as volunteers in the greatest cause ever known: the mission of God. Paul wrote in Ephesians that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Walking in the light together and walking in good works together is what church family is all about.
