About Us
Teatro Serpiente is a true community theater effort. We believe in bringing theater directly to our communities in Taos and the surrounding area, and have now put up productions at every theater space in the region (our own stage in Des Montes; Working Class Theatre's Playhouse; Metta Theater; Dixon's Toolshed) and at both Taos Mesa Brewing and, this summer, KTAOS Solar Center. Whenever possible, proceeds from our productions go to support the Neighborhood Art Project, a project of the Harwood Museum that brings art activities into four low-income neighborhoods around Taos. We hold open auditions for most of our productions, and are always excited to bring new people on board as actors, producers, directors, costume helpers, you name it. No experience is necessary, but a hearty dose of enthusiasm is mandatory!
